Maybe you’ve noticed a change in the Daily Top 5. Instead of simply offering you the Top 5 Longs and the Top 5 Shorts, we’ve started posting our Top 10 trades. We’re hoping to take advantage of the short-term direction of the market.

For instance, on Friday, there were 4 Long positions and 6 Short positions. The market was set up for a downside move, so we weighted our trades to take advantage of that. Today, we are anticipating some upside for stocks, and so you have more long positions to choose from.

Also of interest, TRIGR has started to select some bio-techs. Bio-techs have been one of the strongest sectors lately, and the ETF Biotech HOLDRS (AMEX:BBH) is showing techincal strength. The BBH has broken above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages. TRIGRs bio-tech selections should be good for some medium-term gains.
